📢 Just published: 2024 Code of Conduct Report 📢 Published today, our latest report highlights key generational divides in workplace ethics, particularly among Gen Z employees, who are 2.5x more likely to believe it's acceptable to bend the rules, even as they engage with codes of conduct more than older generations. This gap creates unique challenges for ethics and compliance professionals in fostering a consistent ethical culture. Key findings include: 🌍 Global insights: Code engagement varies widely across regions. 🔄 Leadership disconnect: Confidence in code adherence drops from senior leaders to front-line employees. 💻 Tech adoption lag: Traditional formats are still preferred over digital, indicating a need for better communication on digital tools' value. 🤝 Hybrid work sweet spot: Employees in hybrid setups show the highest code engagement, suggesting this model may boost ethical practices. “This report underscores the complexity of fostering ethical cultures across multi-generational workforces,” says Jim Walton, LRN Advisory Services Director. Explore the full report to learn how you can bridge generational gaps, foster stronger ethics, and inspire principled performance in your organization. 🚀 👉 https://bit.ly/3zayHhc #Ethics #Compliance #CodeOfConduct #GenZ #WorkplaceEthics #Leadership #HybridWork #EthicalLeadership #CorporateCulture

🎉 What an insightful time at our Singapore Masterclass on Thursday, October 3! 🎉 In partnership with the ICA, we brought together professionals to discuss evolving compliance practices, cultural contexts, and how to engage employees across all levels. The session was filled with valuable insights and actionable takeaways. 💡💬 Here are some highlights from our speakers: 📣 Ty Francis MBE, CCEP, Chief Advisory Officer, LRN "Code of conduct formats need to be more accessible," Ty emphasized that while most attendees currently use PDFs, exploring dynamic and engaging formats can boost accessibility and impact. He also stressed that increased reporting is a positive sign of employee empowerment and engagement: “Spikes in reports highlight areas that need further analysis.” 📣 Weng Yee Ng, Partner, Forensic Risk Alliance Weng Yee highlighted the importance of tailored communication in compliance. She shared an example of an office poster that was so impactful, even blue-collar workers took photos of it! Engaging, customized messages can make all the difference. 📊 On training, she emphasized that different roles require different approaches. "The C-suite and operations staff have different perspectives on compliance, so it’s crucial to tailor training for each group." Her advice on measuring program effectiveness: “Use employee surveys and make the training relatable. Connect your values to the values employees care about.”    📣 Pekka Dare, President, International Compliance Association Pekka facilitated discussions around best practices for effective communication, with a key takeaway being the importance of flagging changes clearly and customizing messages for different employee segments to enhance engagement. 🌟 The roundtable discussions brought up an essential point: Cultural context matters in compliance. For example, in Japan, the collective mindset influences behaviors like rule adherence, while in the U.S., personal responsibility is emphasized. These differences highlight the need for culturally aware training programs to promote ethical conduct effectively. Much of the conversation also reflected on recent highlights of the 2024 Code of Conduct report, which you can access for free here: https://lnkd.in/gYcpstAi 🌟 A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to this fantastic event! We look forward to more enriching discussions at our upcoming masterclass in Amsterdam: https://lnkd.in/gEpsxEnR #Compliance #Masterclass #Singapore #CodeofConduct #report

A gap in code adherence isn’t just a gap—it’s a red flag. 🚩 This gap becomes even more pronounced when it comes to discussing the code. Organizations must move beyond just "tone at the top" and focus on the “mood in the middle” and “buzz at the bottom” to drive real engagement.
