Each November the home care and hospice community honors the millions of nurses, home care aides, therapists, and social workers who make a remarkable difference for the clients and families they serve. Home Care and Hospice Month is the time to recognize and celebrate the millions of people — from administrators to clinicians to social workers and volunteers — who bring healthcare into the homes of vulnerable care recipients. While pursuing her PhD, Verena Cimarolli, vice president of applied research and partnerships at the LTSS Center, became fascinated with older adults and how they adapt to the challenges that face them. In her role at the LTSS Center, she studies how the social environment of an older adult can help them adjust to the challenges of chronic illness. Learn more about Verena and her passion for aging research as highlighted in the October 2024 issue of Mcknight’s Long-Term Care News. @KimMarselas @mcknightsltcn #research #aging #agingcare #appliedresearch #ltss https://lnkd.in/gbbcBVmd
