In honor of Hispanic and Latin American Heritage month, Lucasfilm's Vice President of Animation Production Athena Portillo met with ABC7 San Francisco to discuss her journey from Star Wars fan to top executive. She began her impressive career as a Lucasfilm intern, later moving to the ILM team to pursue her interest in visual effects before joining Lucasfilm Animation in 2006, where she has since won two ©Emmy Awards and been nominated for an additional six.
