Starting Monday off with one of our superpowers: Abby Rorex McReynolds, Product Trainer Extraordinaire! We asked her about a typical day at work, what she’s currently excited to work on, and what brings her joy in healthcare. Spoiler: Does anyone see that massive connection between her past job and what she’s doing now? 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲? I currently am spending most of my time creating in-app training tours for our Luma end users. I am passionate about this because our end users are often the staff in health providers’ offices and I have sat in their seat before. 👉About 10 years ago I started my career in healthcare by working the front desk for a surgeon. There my normal day was very different than it is now. There my day was: clean to prep for patients coming in, greet patients, take payments, schedule their next appointments, make sure office inventory was good or order more supplies (gloves, paper, soap, toilet paper, etc etc etc.), call patients that had not confirmed appointments, call insurance companies for authorizations for patients services, call hospital to schedule surgeries and request surgical equipment, meet with vendors and drug reps that wanted to get our provider to use their products, call patients to fill cancellation spots, answer phone calls from people curious about what our physician offered etc etc etc. Sometimes there would be 30-40 calls a day along with all of the other paperwork and speaking to patients that I was doing. It was a lot. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂? I am working on tours within our app that can make learning Luma as quick and easy for our customers and their staff as possible. I know first hand how much is on their plate every day and that our app is not the only one they are using. It is one of many, so how can we make learning it simple? 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗯? Knowing we are making a real impact. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆? There are people who care ♥️
