TAA recognizes LUMA Residential, a member of the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas as a Community Service Star!! "In June, they collaborated with Metrocrest to ensure that no school-aged children went without meals during the summer. Their volunteer efforts supported 704 families and distributed 46,651 pounds of food in the Pantry which is equivalent to a Greyhound bus and cargo container’s worth of food. In addition, they supported the Summer Sack Hunger Programs, packing meals for 778 students who are without access to school breakfast and lunches during the summer. And that’s not all! Their most recent event was to serve in the kitchen of the organization’s “The Stewpot”. Over a three-day span, their three groups of volunteers proudly served lunch to over 850 individuals.
