Thanks for the shout out Kari!
It was a great week at the Manifest conference in Vegas last week. Spending time with co-founder and CEO of Lumi-ai.com and digging in to the product details and pitching prospects was awesome. Lumi has a real technical head start assisting enterprise business teams to generate insights, analyses and reports using plain language. The challenge is not simply using an LLM to generate code (that doesn't work by the way). Lumi has developed sophisticated agentic workflows that perform many of the tasks that a human analyst would such as: 1) Asking clarifying questions if the prompt/request is vague 2) Debugging code errors 3) Summarizing insights 4) Explaining all assumptions used 5) Providing step by step logic 6) Creating visualizations 7) Suggesting actions and follow up questions. Lumi's approach delivers much better results than competitors Snowflake and ThoughtSpot for which they conducted a case study against the same data set and identical prompts. Lumi delivered 95.2% accuracy against simple, medium and complex prompts vs 50% and 33.3% by Snowflake and ThoughtSpot respectively. Lumi has also created a unique context isolation method significantly improving on standard RAG approaches. I was super impressed with their technology and their future roadmap which includes recursive workflows enabling Lumi to find opportunities and insights without human intervention and the ability to action insights. Both of these features coming soon. Thanks to co-founder and CEO Ibrahim Ashqar for inviting me to join and well done to the Lumi technical team led by co-founder and CTO Tudor Boiangiu, P. Eng., MBA. Lumi is a great example of intellectual property built around open source LLM technology which will simply reap the benefits of improvements and cost reductions in future LLM releases while Lumi continues to develop and enhance their market leading approaches and position. #CommonSenseAI #LumiAI
