Our food and beverage business incubator, Hatch Richmond, proudly participated in the Entrepreneur Empowerment Program, a collaboration with Capital One, Culinary Concepts AB LLC, and Bridging Virginia. Together, we are strengthening a thriving small business ecosystem in Richmond by supporting local small business owners in the food and beverage industry. Through this program, entrepreneurs benefit from grant funding provided by Capital One, training programs taught by Culinary Concepts AB, affordable capital and technical assistance from Bridging Virginia, and shared commercial kitchen space and mentorship at Hatch. Thank you to everyone who joined us last week at our community event and groundbreaking ceremony for our new affordable housing project, NOON Ingram! Situated just 2 miles south of the James River in Richmond’s vibrant Southside Oak Grove neighborhood, this 243-unit project will offer robust opportunities for engagement and community building. Residents will enjoy a large community room, outdoor green space within the existing tree canopy, a swimming pool, an outdoor recreation/fitness area, an indoor fitness center, and on-site property management. Additionally, NOON Ingram is set to achieve Earthcraft Gold, Energy Star, and Zero Energy Ready Home certifications. Special thanks to Mayor Levar Stoney, Richmond City Council, and our partners: Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development, L. F. Jennings, Inc., Froehling & Robertson, Inc., Virginia Housing, Baskervill, TowneBank, VHB, J&G Workforce Development Services, LLC, and the Maggie Walker Community Land Trust. Get to know our fabulous Director of Design and Construction Elizabeth Ellington, AICP, IIDA, NCIDQ, LEED AP 💫 Liz brings almost 20 years of diverse experience in the architecture industry to the role of Director of Design and Construction at Lynx Ventures. With a proven track record of successfully leading complex projects from conception to completion, Liz is dedicated to a high level of design in the built environment and public realm, shared innovative solutions that enhance the communities she serves, and creative collaboration in all phases of design and construction. She works closely with the design, engineering, construction and asset management teams to ensure projects are completed within budget, on schedule and driven by design excellence with the end user in mind. Liz holds a Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Interior Architecture from Auburn University, and a MSc in Built Environment: Urban Design from University College London, Bartlett School of Architecture. She is a licensed urban planner, interior designer and a LEED accredited professional.  We couldn't be more thrilled to have her on our team!
