Back in Brussels this week for an event MFA co-sponsored steps away from the European Parliament, focusing on how the EU's efforts to build a Savings and Investments Union can leverage global finance in all its diversity. Just capped off a great week in London and Brussels alongside Rob Hailey, MFA’s Head of EMEA Government Affairs. Our time was well spent convening MFA member communications professionals and talking to press about crucial issues impacting our members in the UK and Europe.

MFA is excited to announce Jill R. Whitelaw as Vice President and Senior Counsel, Regulatory Affairs.    Her decades of experience in the alternative asset management industry will enhance MFA’s regulatory advocacy in the U.S. and around the globe. She joins us from Morgan Stanley Investment Management, where she managed a range of legal and regulatory matters. Previously, she held senior legal roles at major financial firms, including Lincoln National Life and New York Life, and served as Of Counsel at Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads.    Welcome, Jill!

It was great to see many friendly faces from Congress, the Administration, the media, and the alternative asset management industry at MFA's third annual rooftop reception yesterday. It was one of those perfect DC evenings last night as we held our 3rd Annual MFA Rooftop event. Thanks to our members, and friends from the Administration, Congress, Embassies, and beyond for making it such a success!
