We are thrilled to announce that M2X Energy Inc. has been selected as the winner for Autodesk’s Design & Make Award for Making a Better World! This recognition highlights our team's commitment to innovation and the incredible work we've done to push the boundaries of modular biomethanol production. Our very own Nicholas Schwartz , VP of Engineering and Manufacturing, proudly received the award at last week’s ceremony in San Diego.   A key factor in our success has been harnessing the power of Autodesk's tools to bring our ideas from concept to reality. James Bonzani, Product Engineer at M2X, reflects: "Using Autodesk software like Inventor and AutoCAD Plant3D, we rapidly took our system design from a prototype stage into a manufacturable product, giving us a significant edge in our mission to revolutionize biomethanol production."   A heartfelt thank you to the Autodesk Foundation for recognizing our efforts. The #FuelEU compliance pooling mechanism is a game-changer for green fuel adoption by the maritime industry. Ships with a “compliance surplus” can sell excess emission units to those with deficits, whether within the same company or across different ones. This offers first movers a significant competitive advantage—by investing in alternative fuels like biomethanol today, they can offset any upfront costs by selling surplus credits to other vessel owners while locking in their future fuel supply.   Thank you DNV for highlighting this important mechanism. #SustainableShipping #Biomethanol #FuelEU #GreenFuels #AlternativeFuels #Decarbonization

Our colleague, Chen Hsiang-Sheng (Johnson), published its paper on the use of low-carbon methanol (LCM) for point-of-use hydrogen generation.    The research explores how low-carbon methanol can act as a promising hydrogen carrier, reducing the transportation and storage costs associated with industrial use of H2 as a chemical feedstock or fuel. By converting methanol to hydrogen through an electrolytic process, the study compares the performance of both grade and crude methanol forms, utilizing M2X Energy Inc. Energy's low-carbon methanol as the feedstock supply.    It examines the relationship between methanol purity and point-of-use hydrogen generation efficiency. The results shed light on the potential of bypassing energy-intensive separation steps to lower the pathway's overall cost and carbon intensity.   Interested in learning more or exploring how M2X biomethanol can support your hydrogen production? Two weeks later, and we are still energized after joining an incredible group of innovators at the #BESummit24 ! 🌍 M2X's Josh B. & Paul Yelvington joined our fellow Breakthrough Energy portfolio companies. Their takeaways: ⚡ 7 intermediate compounds run the world – Eric Toone's brilliant talk reflecting on our energy journey had a clear message: We need to find alternative feedstocks for the chemical intermediates that become our everyday products. M2X is on its way. https://lnkd.in/eTPZcJ4Z ⚡ Pragmatic solutions for clean energy – We need innovation to achieve decarbonization, and we must move quickly with readily deployable solutions for immediate impact. M2X is ready to commercialize! ⚡ Take manufacturing in house – The people who care the most will do the best job! We need to invest in our own manufacturing talent and capabilities. M2X is building manufacturing facilities in Florida and North Carolina. (#wearehiring) Energized for the months to come!
