In 2017, Malt teamed up with Jake Kalick, to launch Made In. Their shared passion for premium cookware led the duo to travel the world to find talented artisans to craft their products. Kevin Mako, founder of Mako Design, launched the firm in high school and expanded it full-time after his Ivey Business School graduation. Kevin is an engineering lecturer at Ryerson University, host of The Product Startup Podcast, and maintains a strong social media presence. He serves on various boards, enjoys flying, and has won over 30 business and design awards. Richard M. Soto launched Soto & Co. from the back of a truck in 2016, quickly establishing the brand as a leader in sustainable Texas fashion. As CEO, designer, marketer, and project manager, Rick fosters partnerships that enhance the brand's visibility, seen on platforms like ESPN and NFL Network. His commitment to impeccable customer service and design has allowed him to set a high standard in the fashion industry. Sammy Lam, DipWSET, MW Candidate the driving force behind Wanderlust Wine Co - Austin's largest wine-on-tap winery. An OIV MSc program alumnus, Sammy brings light to the richness of Texas wines and has secured titles like Best Winery. Through Wanderlust, Sammy fights for representation in the wine industry, hosts inclusive community events,  and utilizes spaces that preserve Austin's unique charm. Shayda Torabi Howell is co-founder of Austin cannabis brand, RESTART, the President of the Texas Hemp Coalition, and an active thought leader. After discovering CBD’s benefits post-accident in 2015, she now brings high-quality products to market through retail & e-commerce. Shayda embraces her canna curiosity and creates a safe space for others to do the same on their respective wellness journeys.

The Best Stainless Steel Pan, Overall: Made In "A perfect skillet is worth its weight in stainless steel. This Made In pan comes in 8-, 10- and 12-inch versions for all of your cooking needs. It heats quickly, adjusts to temperatures seamlessly, and stays hot for as long as you need. Made In has a lot of great products, and this is no exception. Because of its status as a direct-to-consumer business, the brand can produce high-end products at much more attainable prices than legacy brands can offer. Honestly, this pan performs just as well as ones from some of the more well-known brands, but at a slightly lower price point. Also, Made In has established itself well over the years, where it can now be considered just as “well known” as the bigger guys. The notch on the end of the handle is just right for easy storage hanging on the wall, and the offset shape of the handle makes it exceptionally comfortable to hold and maneuver—a must for those very important sautés and stir-fries. As if that’s not enough, the brushed metal exterior looks just as good after use. While it doesn’t come with a lid, Made In does sell universal lids if absolutely necessary."
