Moving towards AErospace

About us

⚡ The electrification process is sweeping into homes and industries at a fast pace: suppliers of technological solutions based on fossil fuels are facing obsolescence and might not survive. 🚀 The aerospace economy is an opportunity for them, having many commonalities with – for example – the automotive and nautical industries. But there are also many differences, requiring new managerial and technical skills, new connections at local and international level. 🛰 Moving towards aerospace to harvest its opportunities is an effort no SME can do alone. 💢 8 full partners and 2 associate policy authorities from 7 European regions have joined forces with Interreg Europe co-funding. Together they will improve their regional policies and design aerospace ecosystems. ✈ The project will build and develop local – yet internationally connected – aerospace value-chains, where SMEs can play their part for growth and quality jobs. 🌍 An ecosystem is a living thing: it is about technology and financial resources, infrastructures and people, businesses and community. A shared vision for local development and supporting policies. 🎯 Building an ecosystem is a responsible innovation effort. MAE partners commit to this, exchanging insight and experience and providing peer support. 📌 With master classes, workshops, surveys, visits and communication, partners road map desired transformation and implement it, resulting in improved policy instruments, more and better targeted funding, increased capacity among staff and political/technical stakeholders, new or improved models for responsible industrial value-chains transition towards aerospace. 😎 MAE paves for SMEs from industry traditional segments to take advantage of future-oriented manufacturing potential: a new generation of highly trained public actors support a new generation of responsible, innovative SMEs in aerospace.
