About us

Makers Mill is a nonprofit community makerspace and vocation hub located at 23 Bay St. in Wolfeboro, NH. Makers Mill exists to enrich rural lives and foster fulfilling livelihoods by bringing people together to discover, cultivate, and share their unique gifts and skills. We envision a future where people find fellowship, purpose, and joy as they apply their creativity and craft to nurturing thriving economies, healthy ecosystems, and vibrant communities. Makers Mill provides formal and informal learning and skill-exchange opportunities in woodworking, machining, stained glass, metalsmithing, fiber arts, fine arts, digital design and fabrication, robotics and electronics, leather working, and more. We facilitate collaborations and host community events like the farmers' market, 4H robotics clubs, monthly Repair Cafe, and operate a Tool Library. We offer career counseling and business coaching through partnerships with Career Clarity New England and Small Business Development Corporation, respectively. Overall, Makers Mill provides access to various crafts, skills, technologies, and arts for personal, professional, and community goals.

    It's another creative and fun week of possibility at Makers Mill! It's been a busy summer-- you deserve a break. Come for a fiber arts mingle this afternoon from 1-3, or register ASAP for one of these fun classes. Find your Joy through creating with instructor Phyllis, and play with different arts and mixed media techniques on Friday OR turn that piece of old furniture into a masterpiece with her on Saturday! USE A BLOWTORCH and learn to melt and create cool stuff with Deb--if you're a member, or want to use a day pass to come and make your own art or jewelry, this class will give you access to independent use of the equipment!     Crafting Confidence: A Community Impact on Youth Each week at Makers Mill, a group of curious children gather to explore their creativity through STEM programming. This transformative experience is made possible by a subject-matter champion and his curriculum, a welcoming, well-equipped facility, enthusiastic families, a talented budding teacher, big-hearted volunteers, and a very generous family.     Join us for 4-H Movers and Makers! 🚀 Is your child in grades 3-7 and loves to create? Our 4-H Movers and Makers program is perfect for them! From September 18, 2024, through June 2025, we'll be meeting every Wednesday from 3:30-5:30 pm at Makers Mill in Wolfeboro. This FREE, STEAM-based club blends art, tech, and fun! Kids will learn coding, mechanics, and more, all while working on creative projects with their peers. Limited spots available! Register your child today to secure their place in this exciting program. 4-H Movers and Makers has a current capacity of 12 youth. Please only complete the interest form if you feel your youth participant can meet weekly for most of the regular meetings throughout the school year.
