We had a great morning visiting FOX 8 Cleveland to talk about National Hot Fudge Sundae Day! Malley's Famous Fudge Sauce is made in our kitchen at our Brook Park headquarters, using a recipe passed down for generations. And it's absolutely delicious. If you haven't tried it before (or if you have and love it as much as we do) tomorrow is the perfect excuse to get some! On National Hot Fudge Sundae Day, our parlor locations are serving up regular size hot fudge sundaes for just $2.50. Plus, when you purchase a 19 oz. jar of Famous Fudge Sauce at any Malley's location, we'll throw in a free bag of pretzels.

Last week, Mike Malley welcomed members of our retail team to home office for another edition of lunch with the CEO! Attendees had great conversation about product packaging, operations at the stores and more. We are so thankful for the opportunity to hear team members’ ideas and perspective first hand, and the feedback they provided was incredibly valuable.

Malley’s had another great morning volunteering at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank! We spent the visit in their community Kitchen, scooping potato salad, cutting veggies, organizing trays of spinach, and completing other food preparation. The Food Bank will then distribute these dishes to senior citizens. We are always happy to give back to the Northeast Ohio community, and grateful for a new opportunity to work together as Malley’s teammates!

We had a very special guest at our storytime in Lakewood this week! Former Malley’s President, Adele Malley, (along with her plush friend, Curious George) ran the show and everyone in attendance had a wonderful time. Malley's is inviting Northeast Ohio students to Read Your Way to a Sundae! Our new reading program is a way to help local students curb the summer slide, or the loss of skills learned in school during summer vacation, while also having some fun. "Reading is supposed to be fun," said Malley's President and CEO Mike Malley. "Chocolate is fun. Ice cream is fun. So, we just thought it would be a good way to tie all those fun things together." On Friday, team members from home office and retail spent the morning volunteering with the Cleveland Metroparks. They refreshed a property used to house Metroparks interns by giving its barn a fresh coat of paint and laying new mulch. Thank you to all our volunteers for your hard work in the community!

This week, Malley’s team members traveled to the 2024 Promise Holdings Consumer Packaged Goods Executive Summit. Leadership from eight companies in the Promise Holdings portfolio heard from experts in subjects like investment banking, hiring, supply chain and facilities management, and marketing. They also had the opportunity to network, collaborate, and share tactics and strategies that are working at their respective companies. The meeting was incredibly productive and the Malley’s team returned ready to leverage their learnings and new relationships.
