Boqueria Restaurants brings ‘elevated tapas bar’ food and vibes to West Hartford🍴 Our design for Boqueria’s West Hartford, CT,  location revolved around modern elements that accentuate its lively and warm, modern space. When guests enter the restaurant, they’re greeted with an island marble bar, faced with a rounded profile white oak tambour and a backlit fluted glass gantry framing the open kitchen.  A custom hand-painted Spanish mural contains the names, in Spanish, of many ingredients separated by the month they are at their peak freshness, while a collection of custom light fixtures hang throughout providing a refined, contemporary twist to an industrial material palette. A motorized textured curtain separates a 60+-person private event area featuring shelves with backlit perforated metal panels and rounded white oak frames with Spanish décor. Mancini’s relationship with Boqueria is longstanding; the firm has been the design partner for Boqueria’s restaurants in Nashville, Boston, Houston, Miami, and New York City. Mancini’s proprietary technology, The Toolbelt, played a pivotal role in shaping the design of Boqueria West Hartford from the very inception during the design process with our team collaborating with Boqueria’s visionary Founder Yann de Rochefort. It was the perfect autumn evening for IIDA NY Chapter’s Civic Design Forum “Creating a Destination from a Public Landmark” event featuring an informative discussion and walk-through of the recent work completed at Pier 17, highlighting the Tin Building by Jean-Georges. As Mancini is the project’s architect of record, the panel was led by Mancini Associate Joan Tsen as the moderator and Principals Jessica Sheridan and Kyle Milone, RA as panelists, who took an in-depth look at the process and design elements within the space that make it such an exciting addition to South Street Seaport’s Historic District. Enhancing The Park's appeal as a destination for shopping, dining, and working, while encouraging communal experiences with a modern ambiance ✨ Our team helped revitalize this luxury mixed-use work resort in Berkeley Heights, NJ, with fresh amenities and upgraded workspaces at the forefront. Renovating the lobby and lounge areas of 400 Connell Drive, we introduced a fitness center, spa, and social spaces including a game room and meditation area. An acoustic raised floor solved the challenge of integrating the fitness center above existing offices. For 300 Connell Drive, renovations will focus on a hospitality-centric theme - enhancing the lobby, dining options, and communal spaces. Contemporary amenities will include a newly designed café, test kitchen, espresso bar, cocktail lounge, and coworking space. The three-story atrium will feature an ornamental stairway and water wall, along with five elevators and a full-service dining facility. Tonight kicks off the Brooklyn Nets' preseason home opener game at Barclays Center🏀 Go Nets! As Architect of Record for their 70,000-square-foot Brooklyn training facility, we ensured they had everything they needed for a new home base when relocating from New Jersey to Brooklyn’s Sunset Park neighborhood. By transforming the top floor of a century-old building, we integrated all the essential elements, such as weight training and cardio equipment, two full-size basketball courts, spacious locker rooms, and offices for the general manager and coaches. Additional amenities included a rooftop entertainment area, film and meeting rooms, media interview spaces, and a fully-equipped kitchen. The extensive therapy suite supports player recovery with facilities like a hydrotherapy room, steam and sauna areas, and physical therapy rooms, making it an ideal space for both performance and relaxation.
