From October 23-November 30, the Wegmans store by the Montgomery Mall in North Wales will be running their annual Check Out Hunger campaign. Customers can add a donation at the cash register and 100% of the funds collected from the North Wales store will benefit Manna on Main Street and all those we serve. In Case You Missed It: We have launched our 2024 Hope for the Holidays fundraising campaign! Through Hope for the Holidays, we support Manna families with children so they are able to experience the joy and excitement of opening gifts during the holiday season. We are seeking to provide 631 Visa gift cards and 300 Giant gift cards this year. This means our goal is to raise $57,000. Any contributions we may receive in excess of our goal will be used as general operating funds to support Manna’s programs and all those we serve. Manna's Common Grounds Training Program has had an amazing year, with an impressive 78% graduation rate, well above our historical average of 69%. Of those graduates, a whopping 89% were employed within three months of graduation. Our program, which combines hands-on technical skills training with classroom-based soft skills training, has been helping people improve their lives since 2016. What can Common Grounds do for you? Saturday was the Grand Opening and Community Celebration of Manna’s Online Market Hub. Located at 10 N. Cannon Ave. in the heart of Lansdale, the Hub is an innovative project that dramatically expands Manna’s provision of online ordering of groceries, allowing us to serve more people in need. For the first time in our 43-year history, we are serving people out of two locations, as the rest of our programs remain in North Penn Commons at 606 E. Main St. We want to thank the entire community for your incredible support of Manna as we seek to better serve our neighbors. We will soon be sharing photos and a film from the grand opening, but in the meantime, we wanted to share this photo from Saturday: Phil Diliberto, right, is owner of Phil's Tire and Service Center, and Suzan Neiger Gould, left, is executive director of Manna on Main Street. After decades of serving the greater North Penn community, Phil's Tire and Service Center sold the 10 N. Cannon Ave. property to Manna on Main Street last year, and Manna is grateful to continue serving the community for decades to come. #EndHunger #MontcoPA #Community
