At MAPflow, we love supporting students — both through the student version of the platform, and sometimes even with a MAPflow internship! This month, we’re introducing you to Vicky Sekhon, our computer engineering intern. Vicky is an ambitious third-year Computer Science student at Wilfrid Laurier University. Vicky enjoys tackling an array of extra-curricular opportunities outside of academics to further his development in the technology sector. As a student on his university's Science Divisional Council, the Newsletter Chief for a student-led initiative named Laurier Computing Society, and a diligent software developer, Vicky is committed to learning from the best by developing software that meets his organization's needs. Get to know Vicky in this quick Q&A: 💭 What’s your favourite feature or benefit of MAPflow? VS: My favourite benefit of MAPflow is that it provides pharmacists with a comprehensive toolkit when assessing patients. The user-friendly UI, province-specific prescribing information, and versatile disease support make MAPflow a powerful tool that is easy to use and follows a similar convention to traditional assessments, ensuring that all pharmacists can integrate MAPflow into their workflow quickly and seamlessly. 💭 What’s your best advice for pharmacy professionals (or students!) regarding our expanding scope of practice? VS: I encourage pharmacy professionals and students to leverage the DEMO PATIENT feature when first starting out with MAPflow. This will ensure a smooth transition into using the platform daily, allowing professionals to become comfortable with the various tools MAPflow equips them with. 💭 What are your favourite things to do when you’re not working? VS: When I'm not working, I enjoy partaking in intramural soccer and basketball, working out at the gym, spending time in downtown Toronto, and creating individual computer programming projects. #MeetTheTeam #MAPflow #StudentSpotlight #PharmacySoftware
