About us
Who are we? We are a leader in cheese packaging. We set the bar high for innovation. We are a family of thousands across four locations. That’s who Marathon Cheese is. Staying innovative for our customers is what keeps us moving. As technologies in packaging and distribution have changed over the years, we have innovated together to deliver on our promise of cutting-edge packaging. From shreds, slices, chunks and snacks, we have the capability to provide packaging for all kinds of natural cheeses. To be the partner our customers need, we transport materials from cheesemaker to the plant for packaging and then transport for distribution. It matters that we offer a full-circle process for our customers so they know we are truly partners in the cheese business. Our four packaging locations have been established to cater to our customers. Marathon City, Wisconsin (corporate headquarters) Medford, Wisconsin Mountain Home, Idaho Booneville, Mississippi

BOONEVILLE MAIN STREET ASSOCIATION once again threw a fantastic party for this years Booneville Fall Festival. Beautiful day, a great turnout and so many fun things to do. Thanks to our employee volunteers who hung out at our tent handing out cheese, playing games, and meeting members of our community. Our volunteer team rocked! Did you stop by to play ring toss or color a pumpkin picture? With just shy of 200 entries into our drawing stay tuned for our 3 winners who will walk away with a few gifts from our retail store.

Great job Sargento! This is fantastic!
When people are in need, the #SargentoFamily lends a helping hand. That’s what our founder, Leonard A. Gentine believed. We have been long-time supporters of the American Red Cross. In addition to our recent $20,000 matching donation to the American Red Cross of Wisconsin, we are now sending a truckload of food and donated water to the hurricane zone partnering with Feeding America. Our CDL truck driver Matt Czarny set out for North Carolina with the big yellow truck early Sunday morning. "It's an honor to be able to drive this donation to the hurricane zone,” shared Matt. We're grateful for Matt's support and for the work of first responders, volunteers and Feeding America for helping those who need it most. #SargentoFamily #CommunityOutreach #hurricanerelief

Honoring a legacy that Ray and Marie Goldbach created. Investing in our community and supporting our local youth has always been a top priority.
Marathon Cheese Corporation and the Raymond & Marie Goldbach Foundation marked a significant milestone in their philanthropic journey with Northeast Mississippi Community College Foundation. Over the past ten years, their collaborative efforts have resulted in $100,000 in scholarships, positively impacting 100 students in the Prentiss County area. To commemorate this achievement, a special on-campus celebration was held. Representatives from Marathon Cheese Corporation joined with the 2024-25 scholarship recipients to honor this decade of giving. This milestone is a testament to the companies' commitment to supporting education and investing in the future of their community.
