💡Did you know? MAG leads pilot programs to test the latest emerging technologies that can help our region be the most advanced and efficient possible. One example is the recent Emergency Vehicle Preemption Pilot program conducted by MAG in partnership with the City of Tempe and Lyt. This GPS-based system automatically changes traffic signals 🚦 to green when an emergency vehicle, like an ambulance 🚑️ or 🚒 fire truck, is approaching an intersection, effectively giving them priority passage ✅️ and allowing them to reach emergencies faster by stopping other traffic with a red light. Conducting pilot programs like this helps us improve safety and make the region more efficient for our residents.
