**MCBH HOSTS FESTPAC SAILING CANOES!** Last week, Marine Corps Base Hawaii had the immense privilege of hosting the Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture (FestPac) sailing canoes from the Cook Islands, Tahiti, Hawaii, Maui, and Oahu, including the Hōkūleʻa and Iosepa! This prestigious event celebrates the rich maritime heritage and vibrant cultural traditions of the Pacific Islands. Witnessing these majestic sailing canoes arrive and meeting the talented navigators was a truly unforgettable experience. Their dedication to preserving and sharing their ancestral knowledge is inspiring.
