❓Did you know MEDC assists with gap financing for new and expanding Marlborough businesses? In 2016, MEDC created the Marlborough Area Community Loan Fund program, which helps qualified Marlborough-based businesses with securing "gap financing". This serves as the bridge between private lender funding and the amount needed to start or expand companies within our city. 🤝 Avidia Bank, Digital Federal Credit Union, Main Street Bank, and St. Mary's Credit Union have all partnered with MEDC to help fund loans that are recycled through repayment and re-used by future borrowers. #ICYMI - Marlborough-based Boston Scientific recently welcomed more than 50 students from Marlborough High School to its headquarters for an interactive STEM field trip. The all-day visit included a tour of the facility as well as biotechnology-based interactive activities. 👏 Marlborough-based Hologic, Inc., a medical technology manufacturer that specializes in women's health diagnostics, has announced its plans to purchase Gynesonics Inc. of Redwood City, California. 🏆 We recently had the opportunity to visit USA Ninja Challenge - Marlborough, MA, a recipient of the Toolbox Grant Award from the MEDC Amenities Financing Program. This program provides qualified Marlborough businesses, both new and expanding, with rent and equipment expense reimbursement. By partnering with MEDC, the existing Marlborough-based facility has been upgraded and is home to new equipment. The revitalized location has brought new jobs to Marlborough and continues to serve a unique youth experience to the city.
