  • Check out the M/V J. Andrew Eckstein cruising along the Mississippi River! While these covered barges are empty for now, they’re getting ready for a busy Harvest season ahead. When you see a Marquette vessel pushing covered barges this time of year, it is likely transporting important grain commodities such as corn, wheat or soybeans. The covered barges protect these valuable goods from the elements, ensuring they arrive in top condition! 📷 Ted Schweitzer

  • We are committed to "Going the Extra Mile"! Check out the extraordinary contributions our team members, Johnathan (Senior Deckhand) and Nicholas (Senior Mate), make in their personal time: 🌟 Johnathan Streza – Johnathan, along with a group of volunteers, has been partnering with Louisiana State Officials to clean up Fort Macomb, a historic 19th-century brick fort. After successfully completing their first cleanup at the site, they've been invited to extend their efforts to other locations, including Fort Pike, the sister fort to Fort Macomb. 🌟 Nicholas Ardoin – When Nick isn't aboard the M/V St. Charles, he's suited up in firefighting gear. As a volunteer firefighter with the Ville Platte Fire Department and a part-time firefighter with the Evangeline Parish District #2 Fire Department, he's been serving his community since 2010! Thank you for being a vital part of our community, both on and off the job!
