Twin Alimak Hoist ✔ Common Platform ✔ This project is a joint effort involving Marr Crane & Rigging, Marr Scaffolding Company and Daniel Marr & Son Company at Harvard University’s ERC Hotel at 40 Western Ave in Allston, MA. The Common Platform, which measures 15’ x 13’ x 137’, is being installed starting from the 5th floor and will provide access from the hoist cars to each floor up to the 17th floor. It is designed to accommodate the Hoist Mast tie-ins, allowing the hoist to service all 17 floors with a single continuous mast. #hoist #elevator #commonplatform #installation #building #construction

Closing the exterior of 74 Middlesex Ave in Somerville, MA, was no walk in the park... Working together with Karas & Karas Glass Company Inc. and Consigli Construction Co., Inc., we took on the challenge head-on. Armed with our Liebherr LTM1250-6.1 and a composite team, led by Operator David Brooks and Oiler Brendon Kourafas, we hoisted our way to the 16th, 17th, and 18th floors. But hitting those towering heights of 300+ feet meant thinking outside the box – cue the jib extension for that extra oomph! Amidst swirling winds and site constraints, every inch counted. Yet, with careful planning and relentless effort, we made it happen, one lift at a time. Another day, another victory!
