Our Aerial Lift and Scaffold Divisions installed a 42-foot suspended scaffold platform and 50-foot by 20-foot pedestrian protection system at the new CitizenM Boston Back Bay Hotel for the temporary installation of vibrant vinyl decals on its glass façade. These artistic and eye-catching decals celebrate local individuals from the Boston area. Fast-tracked ahead of a VIP event, Marr completed the setup and removal of the access equipment within a week. Crews will be back in two months to recreate the setup for the safe removal of the decals—so if you're in the Back Bay in the coming weeks, be sure to check them out while they’re still up! 📸 Riley McGovern #BostonBackBay #citizenM #facade #scaffold

When opposites attract: a rainbow meets steel 🌈 🏗️ Daniel Marr & Son is currently erecting #steel at FM Global's new world-class research, science and technology facility in Norwood (1165 Providence Highway). The 320,000-square-foot complex incorporates approximately 3,000 tons of structural steel and will take six months to erect. Marr is using a Liebherr LR1200 crawler crane to hoist over 4,000 steel pieces during erection. Topping off is projected for late November. This morning, the Marr Center for Safety Training played host to the AGC MA for the program “Collaborative Success: Mastering GC-Sub Partnering.” The program was led by William Ronco and dove into the nuances of building successful project teams with a focus on communication, engagement, and collaboration. The second part of this two-part program will take place on October 22nd and will feature a post session networking event. The attendees, representatives of leading MA GC and Sub firms, were enthusiastically engaged in discussion using examples from their very own jobsite experiences.
