Here are some key themes we spoke about that can elevate our careers and leadership: 🔹 Self-Confidence & Courage – Confidence isn’t about being perfect; it’s about taking risks, embracing feedback, and bouncing back from setbacks. True confidence comes from knowing you are already enough yet reflects an aspirational vision you have for yourself . And if you’re ever “the only one” in the room? That’s not a disadvantage—it’s your superpower, bringing fresh perspectives that drive impact. 🔹 Making Your Words Count – Every interaction is an opportunity to lead with clarity and impact. Great leaders connect the dots through communication, offering a compelling vision that inspires action. Intentional, ongoing dialogue with your team helps cut through external noise, keeps people focused on what matters, and reinforces the shared purpose that unites your organization. People want to know that what they do is important—so tell them. 🔹 Nurturing Relationships – No one succeeds alone. Build a circle of mentors, sponsors, and truth-tellers who will challenge and champion you. In a digital world, in-person connection remains irreplaceable—prioritize it when you can. Our environment is dynamic so audit your network to ensure it aligns with your current goals, changing priorities, and surround yourself with diverse thought partners who expand your perspective. 🔹 Personal Brand – You already have a brand—the question is, does it reflect your value and align with today’s challenges and opportunities? Take an active role in shaping how others perceive you, ensuring your brand conveys relevance, credibility, and impact. It was an honor to share these insights with such an engaged and inspiring audience of accomplished leaders. The concept of the Sticky Floors I created several years ago which reflects our self-doubts, limiting beliefs, and internal barriers that hold us back—isn’t new, but it’s more relevant than ever. In a world of constant change and systemic shifts beyond our control, our greatest power lies in our own belief, resilience, and intentional action.
