    In the investigation of gun theft, time is absolutely critical. Law enforcement places a high priority on retrieving firearms and ammunition from the hands of criminals. Following a burglary in Chapel Hill in July, investigators acted swiftly to apprehend the perpetrators. In recognition of their efforts to keep the community safe, the News 2 Gives Back team traveled to Marshall County to provide lunch to the police and fire department. While there, Meteorologist Marcus Bagwell had a conversation with Police Chief Andrew Kon and Fire Chief Matthew Stout about the work being done to ensure Chapel Hill's safety.     On June 14, a mass casualty explosion was reported in a Sumner County neighborhood. Gallatin Fire, Police, and EMS quickly responded to Chaffin Court, transported one patient, and secured the area. The investigation resulted in the arrest of a resident. Today, the News 2 Gives Back team visited Gallatin's Fire Station 5 to deliver lunch and thank first responders. Meteorologist Marcus Bagwell spoke with Captain Jackson Boyd of Sumner County EMS.     Last month’s shooting of a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper during a traffic stop left all of Middle TN on edge. Metro Nashville Police’s specialized TITANS unit worked tirelessly to apprehend the suspect.
