We’re excited to kick off Careers in Construction Month with a recap of our recent Construction Career Day! On September 25, we brought together industry leaders, unions, and trades at M&T Bank Stadium to inspire the next generation of skilled workers. Students explored exciting career paths in construction, met with experts, and got hands-on with real-world tools and tech! A huge thank you to all our exhibitors, volunteers, and sponsors for making this day a success. Together, we’re shaping the future of Maryland’s construction industry!

Today was a great day! Brett Doane, Aaron Price and myself had the opportunity to introduce 1,000 high school students to the construction industry and InfraSource, A Quanta Services Company. Thank you Maryland Center for Construction Education and Innovation, Inc. (MCCEI) for putting on such a great event! It was great to see Elisha N. The Maryland Center for Construction Education and Innovation, Inc. (MCCEI) recently hosted a Construction Career Day, offering high school students the opportunity to explore careers with hands-on exhbibits and resources with the goal of providing access to non-traditional educational pathways. They say there are no strangers in the world, only friends you haven’t met yet. Today it’s been my pleasure to finally meet Joe Carlini CPRC and Cindy Amedore, CSC-AD, CPRC, ADS volunteering at the Maryland Center for Construction Education and Innovation, Inc. (MCCEI) Construction Career Day. We’ll be teaming up on a lot of projects and community outreach. Let’s goooo!!

Derek Adolfo and I had a great day at the Construction Career Day, hosted by the Maryland Center for Construction Education and Innovation, Inc. (MCCEI)! We were thrilled to be joined by one of our partners, Hatzel & Buehler, Inc—special thanks to Diane Marsh for your support! It was exciting to connect with students from over 30 schools, showing them that being a union electrician isn’t just about a paycheck—it’s about building a rewarding, long-term career with opportunities for growth, skill development, and a secure future.

I love getting out and volunteering with other motivated, like-minded people and my third time out at Construction Career Day with Maryland Center for Construction Education and Innovation, Inc. (MCCEI) was as worthwhile as you could imagine. Over 1,000 students, 50 vendors, and hundreds of volunteers came together to make this wet day a great success. At Atlantic Insurance Group LLC, we are encouraged to engage in the community's we serve. Whether its my duties as a board member at the Maryland Restaurant Association or being involved with the skilled trades, I stay educated on the perils my clients face from their prospective.
