Thanks to our excellent panel with A.C. Charania and Lisa Costa, PhD, MBA at Maryland Space Business Roundtable this week for our Space Emerging Technology discussion! Enlightening … and a little sobering … to get the Space Warfare perspective and cultural understanding from #USSF … recognizing that space is now a battleground too. Need to adapt to cyberattacks, Prox Ops, and potentially destruction of orbits. And wonderful to see Guardian’s alignment of exploration ecosystems in cislunar and beyond. Inspiring view from #NASA on the lunar plans, capabilities, and technologies. Excited for future lunar missions and technologies. #QuantumSensing #AI #Infrastructure #Energy And, our MSBR members are aligned in the Moon to Mars plans and NASA’s Sustainability Strategy.

Looking forward to speaking at the Maryland Space Business Roundtable Tuesday with A.C. Charania and Dennis Feerick!
#ICYMI our chief technologists joined the stage at #ASCENDspace for a panel on Technology Maturation and Innovation on July 31. They also shared some exciting announcements including our Invention and Software of the Year winners. Watch the replay. This was a great panel with all our Center Chief Technologists, for the first hour I had them talk about their centers and areas of work; it’s a great watch for anyone wanting to take a tour of the agency in one session. We also announced three things prior to the panel: 1.) my Agency Chief Technologist (ACT) annual technology inventory, 2.) update to the NASA Technology Taxonomy, 3,) awarding of @NASA 2024 Invention of the Year and Software of the Year winners. We had a fantastic night on Friday the 10th at the 27th Annual MSBR Gala at Bowie State University. Thank you to Congressman Glenn Ivey, who returned again this year to our Gala to share his remarks and to show us that he is always a strong advocate for the Aerospace Community. We heard inspiring words from our STEM testimonial FIREWORKS Educational Programs/FIRE (Future Innovative Rising Engineers & Entrepreneurs) NSBE. Finally, congratulations to all our awardees including Anoop N. Mehta, CPA, CGMA, Columbus Technologies and Services, Northrop Grumman, and Tracey Bien-Aime. The Maryland Space Business Roundtable was proud to host Senator Chris Van Hollen at our luncheon this week. Senator Van Hollen is a strong advocate for Maryland, and for the Aerospace industry here. He highlighted the incredible work done for the country by Maryland's Federal Institutions and the Industrial aerospace community that support them. He also shared with us the importance of aligning talent with opportunity, and his work in congress to help bring the two together for the state and its stakeholders. Pleased to be joined by our boardmembers and Federal aerospace leadership, including Georgie Brophy, Daryl Carrington, Dennis Feerick, Makenzie Lystrup, PhD, Senator Chris Van Hollen, Bobby Braun, Dr. Janine Smith, PMP, ITIL Expert, Steven Meier, David L. Dr. James Garvin joined the #MSBR once again for our December luncheon to talk about the "Highlights of Maryland’s Dazzling Year in Space 2023." His enthusiasm and expertise are an inspiration to all of us as we reflect back on an amazing year for the state of Maryland and its contributions to space.
