The City of Marysville, Snohomish County Fire District 12 and 20, are the three legacy fire departments now operating as a single agency recently formalized as a Regional Fire Authority. The City of Marysville was founded in 1891, with unincorporated surrounding areas of SCFD 12 and 20 founded in late 1950's / early 1960's. The Marysville Fire District is primarily a career department.
