🙌 This has been an absolute pleasure to work on over the summer! It is a known secret that Massachusetts is world class in 🌎 Climatetech R&D, but... ...when it comes to moving out of the lab to test, demo, and scale technologies, MA can do better! Are you a 1) Climatetech company and struggle(d) to test or demo your technology in Massachusetts? 2) Someone operating or planning to serve as Climatetech test or demo site in the Commonwealth? 3) Climatetech ecosystem builder trying to match test and demo site users and operators? The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center wants to hear from you! MassCEC is launching a Request for Information ("RFI") to understand and address gaps in MA's test and demonstration infrastructure and services tailored to Climatetech companies. This RFI is meant to understand how MassCEC can help to: ✔ better nurture Climatetech Companies outgrowing the R&D stage... ✔ create jobs and catalyze economic development in Massachusetts... ✔ ...as a result help scale Climatetech solutions globally, to promote green growth and avoid emissions for a healthier planet. You can find a link to an online survey on the website our CEO Emily Reichert linked below. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you might have. Thanks a lot, to Leslie Nash and Galen Nelson, Ross Palley, and Cat Foley as well as many people from the Climatetech ecosystem for your stellar input, connections, and guidance on this one 🙏 #Climatetech #Innovation #EconomicDevelopment #FrontierState #Test #Demonstration #Technology #EconomicGrowth #GreenGrowth #Fromlabtofab
Calling all Massachusetts #climatetech #startups and startup supporters! Massachusetts Clean Energy Center has just released a Request for Information (RFI) on #climatetech Test and Demonstration Sites. Please respond and/or reshare! https://lnkd.in/eqxuNm9v We are currently reviewing our activities that promote the growth of the climatetech industry and economic development across the state. MassCEC has identified that climatetech startup awareness of testing and demonstration facilities in Massachusetts is limited and that the navigation of these sites remains a challenge. MassCEC aims to map and better connect climatetech companies to existing sites while identifying remaining infrastructure gaps that could be addressed. Don't miss this opportunity to tell us what you need, what is missing, and how we might better support climatetech companies in Massachusetts! I recently had the opportunity to speak with Sarah Shemkus about the expansion of Massachusetts Clean Energy Center’s #Massachusetts Fleet Advisor Program, a proven electrification model that is inspiring other states across the nation. MassCEC works to break down barriers to the widespread adoption and deployment of #electricvehicles, and our first-in-the-nation Fleet Advisor Program exemplifies how we’re helping #businesses, #nonprofits, and #municipalities make this transition. Now, with an infusion of federal funding, we’re tripling the size of this innovative program! 🗞 Learn more from Sarah’s story published by Energy News Network.

#Transportation is responsible for over one-third of all greenhouse gas emissions in #Massachusetts, and MassCEC is hard at work making #cleantransportation accessible across the Commonwealth, especially for disadvantaged communities. Thanks to Patrick Berry and WWLP-22News for highlighting our work with The Pioneer Valley Planning Commission and One Holyoke CDC to provide #ebikes to residents in the #PioneerValley. This collaboration is reducing air pollution while providing people with a healthier, more affordable way to get around. Learn more below!

Secretary Yvonne Hao said it best: Last Wednesday was a “duck boat day” for the #Massachusetts #climatetech sector, similar to when we celebrate our champion sports teams in the streets of #Boston. MassCEC CEO Dr. Emily Reichert joined Secretary Hao and Secretary Rebecca L Tepper at the State House as Governor Healey and Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll celebrated the 28 Massachusetts-based companies that were named to TIME Magazine’s 2024 list of America’s Top 250 GreenTech Companies. From green steel to EV charging infrastructure, the innovative technologies developed by these companies represent the global promise of the Commonwealth’s climatetech sector. At MassCEC, we’ve seen this promise up close by supporting many of these innovators through our Emerging Climatetech grant programs, 2030 Investment Fund, and internship program. It was an extra special day for us at MassCEC, and it strengthened our drive to make Massachusetts the climate innovation lab for the world. Together, we’re getting the job done! Congratulations to all! 6K, Aclarity, AM Batteries , Ascend Elements, Blackburn Energy, Inc., Boston Metal, Clean Crop Technologies, Inc., Commonwealth Fusion Systems, Eden, Electric Hydrogen, Factorial Energy, Form Energy, Gradiant, Indigo, Innovasea, Invaio, LineVision, Malta Inc, Nth Cycle, Quaise Energy, Singularity Energy, SparkCharge, Sublime Systems, Tomorrow.io, VEIR, Verdox, Via Separations, and WindESCo.
