Check out this article about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the impact on Career Development Education. Our work with youth career readiness is highlighted. We're so excited to be partners with CareerVillage.org to bring Coach, an AI career chatbot, to Berkshire students this year!
We loved hosting Railroad Street Youth Student Empowerment (RYSE) young people today at the MassHire Berkshire Workforce Board! This Railroad Street Youth Project program "offers young people the chance to explore their goals and potential next steps after high school. Over the course of five days in the summer, participants meet with panelists and local partner organizations to create community, network, and learn about balancing tasks, goal setting, financial behavior (taxes, budgeting, etc.), educational options, and to participate in self-reflection and self-care activities." Participants "chose their own career adventure" based on where they were in their planning. Activities included a virtual mock interview (using CareerVillage.org new AI Career Coach), career interest surveys, reality checks, labor market information research and more. This is an important program for South County students and youth receive a stipend of $200 upon completion of the program and are eligible to apply for a scholarship of up to $20,000! Thank you to the MassHire Berkshire Career Center for providing a resume writing workshop & interpretation support this week! #WorkforceWednesday #YouthEmpowerment #connectingactivities #masshireberkshire #youthemployment #careerdevelopment #intheberkshires

Now that the dust has settled, I wanted to share about our great trip to Boston last week with the Junior class at BART Charter Public School! We visited UMASS Lowell, Simmons University, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Emmanuel College, Mass College of Art and Design, and the Mass College of Pharmaceutical and Health Sciences. We also got to check out the New England Aquarium, the MIT Museum, and Quincy Market! It was a really great trip. My next field trip is this Thursday as I bring high schoolers to the Construction Career Day hosted by MassHire! #BARTCharter #EdThatAddsUp #Education #CollegeCounselor #CareerCounselor #HighSchool #Boston #MIT #Wentworth #CollegesofFenway #UMASSLowell

The new website for Coach is now live, and we're excited to share it with you! Check it out: https://lnkd.in/gkHsR7zF Why are we building an AI-powered career support platform? 👇 1️⃣ Millions of learners don’t have access to quality career support and don’t feel prepared for college or career. 2️⃣ At the same time, the need for continuous learning and career development is more important than ever. (psst--request beta access to check out the tool itself!) #aiineducation #aiforcareer #aiforgood #futureofwork
