Introducing the new Mobile Career Center. This will bring job search assistance to the residents of the eight communities within the MassHire Lowell Career Center service area, including Lowell, Billerica, Chelmsford, Dracut, Dunstable, Tewksbury, Tyngsboro, and Westford. By extending MassHire’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), the Mobile Career Center will offer expanded in-person outreach and services to underserved communities. Jobseekers who visit the Mobile Career Center will have access to a variety of services, including: -Job search advice -Résumé critiques -Training opportunities -New job postings -Registration for job search webinars -Information on job fairs and recruitments Thanks to those who worked on this project and those who came out in support of the ribbon cutting. MassHire Lowell Career Center will debut its new Mobile Career Center at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, October 22, at 5:30 p.m. on JFK Plaza at Lowell City Hall. 🚌 This innovative career services vehicle was renovated by the talented students at Greater Lowell Technical High School, and we'll be recognizing their incredible skills and contributions at this event. The Mobile Career Center is designed to bring job search assistance to the residents of the eight communities within the MassHire Lowell service area, which includes Lowell, Billerica, Chelmsford, Dracut, Dunstable, Tewksbury, Tyngsborough, and Westford. Coughlin, Executive Director of the MassHire Greater Lowell Workforce Board. “The Mobile Career Center is a great community asset,” said Danielle McFadden, Chair of MassHire Greater Lowell Board of Directors, “and fulfills our Board’s mission to serve all our communities.” Shannon Norton, Executive Director of the MassHire Lowell Career Center, said, “One of the best aspects about this project is the expansion of equitable services to under-represented communities within the city. In addition, this project was designed to allow for green energy to be paramount during its reconstruction, as well as incorporating safety and design features that will ensure this Mobile Career Center will operate successfully for years to come.”
