It was a great honor for and delight for the Partner2pilot Global team to serve and support this worthy cause. Women's History Month is an annual celebration of the vital role of women in American history. It began as a local celebration in California in 1978 and was later recognized nationally, with March designated as Women's History Month by Congress in 1987. The month honors the contributions and achievements of women throughout history, from pioneers and activists to scientists, artists, and leaders. Some key facts about Women's History Month: - It started as a week-long celebration in 1978 in Santa Rosa, California, before expanding to a month-long national observance.[1] - In 1980, President Jimmy Carter issued the first presidential proclamation declaring the week of March 8th as National Women's History Week.[1] - In 1987, Congress passed a resolution designating March as Women's History Month.[1] - Each year, the National Women's History Alliance selects a yearly theme.
