Practice makes perfect? Not quite. Practice makes permanent. The way you practice is the way you ultimately perform. Only perfect practice makes perfect. If you take a practice test for a standardized exam like the #ACT, #SAT, or #TSIA2, but you take it in a relaxed way, you're defeating the purpose of practice. You will get better at taking the test from a hammock, but you won't improve on time management decisions or test taking skills. Only if you simulate the actual experience, and put yourself in a mind space to demand performance from yourself, is the time spent practicing worth it. This extends far beyond the art of test-taking. Content mastery demands effort from the learner. What sprinter improves their time by walking around the track?
