🤝 MEET THE TEAM 🤝 Meet Ben Porter, MatchTune’s Marketing Associate and creative force in the music industry. After graduating with First Class Honours in Linguistics from the University of Leeds, Ben joined MatchTune in 2022 as an intern and quickly became an essential member of the team. His responsibilities at MatchTune include coordinating social media strategy, creating compelling content across platforms, and writing copy for everything from website articles to product UX. He also contributes to product demos and pitches for prospective partners, as well as representing the company at industry webinars and events. But Ben's work in the music industry spans beyond his responsibilities at MatchTune. He’s also an accomplished producer and multi-instrumentalist, having recorded at iconic studios like Abbey Road and Real World Studios, and collaborated with celebrated artists like Tems and Wale. Before joining MatchTune, Thomas built an impressive career at Universal Music Group, where, by his early 20s, he was involved in the creation of social media strategies and digital campaigns for legendary artists like Bob Marley, The Beatles, Elton John, and The Rolling Stones. He also led the development of visually striking assets across platforms, from Spotify ads to billboards, ensuring every artist’s brand was flawlessly represented. At MatchTune, Thomas takes on a wide range of responsibilities—driving product design, leading CRM campaigns, building brand partnerships, and representing the company as a guest speaker at industry webinars to name just a handful. His current focus, co-leading MatchTune's presence in the L'Oréal x HEC Paris Beauty Tech Atelier at STATION F, is in helping brands navigate compliance challenges when licensing music for their content. And as if that weren't enough, Thomas still finds time in his busy schedule for his passion as an ultra runner, completing his first 100k race in Switzerland earlier this year.
