We can make a high-precision mold with Matsuura’s Hybrid Metal 3D printer “LUMEX” . LUMEX builds the workpieces by repeating the three steps of squeezing, laser processing and milling. This enables innovative design with complex inner structures and integrates separated parts into a single build work. Also, we can make deep ribs with high precision do not require EDM process. With 5-axis machines, workpieces can be tilted and rotated in various directions, thus minimizing tool protrusion. Minimizing tool protrusion enables machining while maintaining tool rigidity.
