On Friday, Tennessee Department of Health Commissioner Dr. Ralph Alvarado visited The Manor at Northgate Terrace for a firsthand look at the success of the housing community offering supportive services that helps maintain independent living for low-income disabled people and seniors ages 62 and over. It is the first program of its kind in the state. The Manor at Northgate Terrace is not a nursing home or assisted living facility; it offers a supportive services program for people who experience issues with the aging process but want to live independently for as long as possible.
