About us
Formed in 2015, the Mavericks Community Foundation serves as a catalyst for local giving by bringing awareness to the nonprofits that serve our community. We facilitate fundraisers, capacity-building seminars, and events to encourage community development on the San Mateo County Coast. The Mavericks Community Foundation was inspired by the collaborative efforts of Silicon Valley Gives and East Bay Gives. To increase our local impact, we branched off and created Coastside Gives, an annual day of giving that highlights the unique culture, environment, and spirit of community between Montara, CA and Pescadero, CA.
