October is #RSVAwarenessMonth. #DYK that an average of 160,000 adults and over 58,000 children are hospitalized each year due to #RSV? RSV is a contagious virus that affects the lungs, nose, and throat, and its symptoms are similar to a cold, the flu, or COVID-19. #DYK Breast cancer accounts for about 30% of all new cancer cases for women in the U.S.? According to the American Cancer Society, if the disease is caught in early stages, the five-year relative survival rate is 99%. Women should receive mammograms a minimum of every other year beginning at age 40, and starting earlier if you are in high-risk group. Most insurance plans pay for annual screenings after 40.
