📆⭐️ Celebrating 2 Remarkable Years with Morgan Bowling, our Social Media and Community Manager! 🎉 In these two years, Morgan has been the steadfast force behind our community's growth. Her strategic prowess and dedication have been instrumental in fostering a strong connection between our customer base and product teams. 🤝🔗 Through meticulous communication and collaboration, she's kept our customers well-informed, turning challenges into opportunities and feedback into action. Here's what Morgan had to say about her first two year: What's been your favorite thing about working at MaxRewards? I really enjoy being able to work across multiple teams. Working at a startup requires wearing many different hats, so I’m able to get experience with the product and engineering teams that I most likely would not get if I were a community manager at a larger company. I’ve been able to get comfortable with technical tools that will be useful throughout the rest of my career, and I've strengthened my communication skills ten times over. What was your background before MaxRewards? I definitely don’t have a typical background for someone at a startup…I majored in theater. But that major did instill a very strong work ethic and a high bar for achievement in me that has remained helpful in every job I’ve had since (I actually have a theory about some similarities between the theater and tech) After college, I worked as a sewing instructor and on social media content with Topstitch Studio. From there, I worked as a community engagement and social media specialist at Fabric.com (an Amazon subsidiary). I learned a lot at that job, especially when it came to de-escalation techniques with customers, how important a positive customer experience is to the entire brand image, and how to meticulously create and manage a brand image on social media. What's been a professional highlight during your time here? I launched our Discord community when we released the beta version of our v3 app. Being able to interact with our members and allowing them a space to share feedback that has directly impacted the app. It’s very rewarding to be a part of the conversation about a feature that our members want, and then getting to see that come to life in the app. Here's to Morgan, the driving force behind our informed and engaged community! 🚀 #CustomerConnection #TwoYearsStrong

Today marks a milestone at MaxRewards as we celebrate the one-year anniversary of one of our exceptional software engineers, Leian Ivey! 🌟 His innovative solutions and collaborative spirit have played a pivotal role in launching our v3 app. Here's what Leian had to say about his time at MaxRewards ⬇️ What's been a professional highlight during your time here? A significant professional accomplishment during my tenure here has been dedicating considerable time and effort to revamping the user onboarding experience. Notably, the launch of version 3 of the app stands out as a noteworthy achievement, given that it involved a comprehensive rebuild from the ground up. What was your background before MaxRewards? Before joining MaxRewards, I accrued more than 13 years of experience in the tech industry, consistently earning a reputation as a versatile professional. In my earlier roles, I garnered design awards for my work as a graphic and web designer and achieved a remarkable over 1000% increase in website traffic while serving as an SEO specialist. Transitioning into DevOps engineering, I played a pivotal role in helping teams expedite product development and releases. In my more recent endeavors, my primary focus shifted towards mobile development, where I specialized in constructing scalable apps and services catering to diverse user bases. Notably, before MaxRewards, I contributed to noteworthy projects such as collaborating on the TotalWine App and undertaking the complete reconstruction of the BoatTrader app. What's been your favorite thing about working at MaxRewards? My favorite aspect of working at MaxRewards has been the collaborative and supportive atmosphere within the team. In a startup environment, the designers, QA, and developers wear multiple hats, and it's truly rewarding to witness the entire team pooling their diverse experiences and skills to tackle various facets of a project, working together towards a shared objective. Additionally, the unlimited PTO policy adds a valuable dimension, allowing for much-needed breaks and contributing to a healthier work-life balance.
