Continuing the discussion around Versatile Video Coding and standards groups, MC-IF recently released a conversation with Virginie Drugeon, Chair of the DVB Technical Module's Audio and Video Coding Group and Senior Engineer for Digital TV Standardization at Panasonic.  Drugeon highlighted that VVC's coding efficiencies move 8K services closer to realization and allow 4K services to be carried on terrestrial broadcasts. Today, MC-IF's Lukasz Litwic presents his latest paper, "Ready for Deployment: VVC's Adoption and Interoperability Status" during 5G MAG Insights panel Beyond 2D, XR and Immersive Media today at the Auditorium Centre, Meeting Room G.106.
