We are so happy that Bill DiLemme is safe & sound from Helene. We will pray that those affected by Milton over the next few days and weeks.
Helene will go down in history as one of the most devastating hurricanes to date. Living in Western North Carolina, I experienced firsthand the flooding, loss of power, and struggles for basic necessities like food, ice and gas. The aftermath was heart-wrenching, with many losing homes and loved ones. My family and I were lucky, some flooding and loss of power for nine days, a minor inconvenience compared to others. Despite the challenges, our community rallied together with support from neighbors, state, local and federal officials, and volunteers at relief centers. The outpouring of love and assistance has been overwhelming, showcasing the resilience and unity of Western Carolina. As we continue to rebuild and recover, the long-term process will require ongoing support. The well wishes and generosity from individuals and organizations have been jaw dropping during this time of need. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the journey of healing and restoration-we are just beginning.
