Our MC Squared team was honored to partner with Gresham Smith on the Cheshire Bridge Road Over CSX Emergency Bridge Repair project. This project was recognized with the 2025 Engineering Excellence State Award in the Transportation (small projects) category. Congratulations to everyone involved! Today is Employee Appreciation Day! We are celebrating our exceptional team members, including Tyler and Patrick. They were collecting samples for the Lenox Road and GA-400 pedestrian bridge in Buckhead, Atlanta, which will provide a safe crossing for pedestrians and cyclists. While working on this project, they encountered unexpected concrete rubble that required the use of a sonic drill to break through. Their dedication and problem-solving skills keep our projects moving forward. Great job, everyone!

Congratulations to the Harbour Island Force Main Replacement Project for receiving the ACEC Florida Engineering Excellence Award. This award recognizes our innovative geotechnical contributions to Tampa’s wastewater infrastructure. MC Squared provided geotechnical engineering services throughout the project, including: • Field exploration and laboratory testing to support design and construction • SPT borings and subaqueous core sampling to inform key engineering decisions • Excavation stability analysis to ensure safety near critical infrastructure • Dewatering system evaluation for the installation of a 160-linear-foot, 72-inch diameter steel casing under the CSX railroad using the jack and bore method • Geotechnical impact assessment to mitigate settlement risks on the CSX railroad tracks • Development of PLAXIS 3D models for flow and deformation analysis, ensuring structural integrity A huge thank you to our partners at Wade Trim and our dedicated team for their exceptional work on this project!
