We are thrilled to share the successful participation of members of MCCL -UChile at the 28th ESACT - European Society for Animal Cell Technology meeting in Edinburgh. Drs. Ziomara Gerdtzen and Ivan Paredes had the opportunity to present and discuss the results of the project Fondef CELIA, carried out in collaboration with J. Cristian Salgado's research group. We presented the experimental results obtained from the application of our Cell Culture Media and Feeding Strategy Design Platform CELIA and the increased in culture growth and productivity obtained by Ivan Paredes, Temistocles Molina, and Isidora Prat in different cell lines; the work structural identifiability and parameter estimation of dynamic cell culture metabolic models by Aarón Canales Vásquez, and model predictive control for biomanufacture processes by Francisca Pizarro Galleguillos. We are also honored to announce that the poster associated to the platform CELIA was selected as one of the top 100 at the conference. It was an outstanding experience in scientific dissemination, exchanging ideas with fellow researchers, establishing and strengthening networks, and learning about issues of mutual interest being addressed in both industry and academia.
