Our teammates’ response following Hurricane Helene has undoubtedly demonstrated the best of MCC. 💛 Teammates across the company contributed nearly $34,000 to purchase cases of food, water, and cleaning and personal supplies that started arriving at our Asheville, North Carolina site last week, with additional support targeted for our Fountain Inn, Carolina plant. While all our regional teammates and families are physically safe, many experienced property damage, and many still lack of power and/or water service at their homes. “Our recovery team truly astounded me by their situational awareness and knowledge of what to do in this type of situation,” says Andy Reeves, General Manager. “This group—Thomas Keller, Ken Pine, Brian Beduhn and Josh Moore—went above and beyond to ensure our building and teammates were fine, customer shipments were sent even when power was out, and provide overall leadership through a natural disaster. I also want to thank our local team who coordinated care packages—Daisha Clodfelter, Shelly Popson, and Gabby Mucino—and everyone in Procurement and HR who went above and beyond to get donated goods to our sites so quickly.” While Asheville operations are back up, there is still a long road to full recovery, and the continued support and warmth provided by our extended MCC community is something we are both tremendously grateful for and incredibly proud of. 👏 #Teamwork #LabeledWithCare #CarolinasRecovery
