McLaren Central Michigan recognized and honored its history with the rededication of its Physician Hall of Fame on Friday, Oct. 25. Originally dedicated in 2006 with an inaugural induction class of 11 physicians from past medical staffs covering the hospital’s 81-year history, the Hall has grown to recognize 26 providers with regular additions over the years. Who knew superheroes wore bras? 🦸♂️ Our "Marvel Universe vs DC Universe" themed bras not only caused a stir, but also helped us raise an astonishing $11,600 for Community Cancer Services last night at Bras for a Cause! All thanks to our heroes: Flash - Dr. Abraham Krepostman; Batman - Dr. Chris Uitvlugt; Superman - Mark Pniewski, RN; Green Lantern - Andre Rainey, Nurse Assistant; Ironman - Dr. Perjohan Persson; Hulk - Dr. Michael McConnon; Captain America - Dr. Rami Safadi; and Spiderman - Kevin Jones, RN! A standing ovation for our creative staff, for bringing this fantastic idea to life - Sam Sherwood, Jenni Hoeve, Melina Dufort, and Tara Chilcote. 👏 Your ingenuity has made a worthy cause even more remarkable. Diane Grove, PA-C, last day caring for patients at the Clare clinic was Friday, September 27. After twelve years of invaluable service and dedicated care to our patients, she is embarking on her next chapter. Here's to applauding her past achievements and to the anticipation of future endeavours.
