McLaren Newport Beach is thrilled to introduce the long awaited and highly speculated McLaren W1 - the pinnacle of McLaren automotive technology and design, and the next heir to the “1” name, following the legendary McLaren F1 and P1. Featuring an all-new high-performance hybrid powertrain called MHP-8, made up of a 4.0 liter V8 engine and Formula 1 derived e-module, the W1 puts out a combined 1,275 PS, and revs to 9,200 RPM. In addition, a total weight of just 1399kg (3,084lbs) means the W1 can accelerate from 0-124mph in a blistering 5.8 seconds. A true masterclass in aero design, the W1 features state-of-the-art air channeling crafted into its body lines and undercarriage, as well as an articulating rear wing that extends back 300mm to produce up to 1000kg (2,200lbs) of downforce. The interior also features new Anhedral doors, seats integrated into the monocoque, and an adjustable pedal box and steering module for ideal connection with the car. Offering the highest performance levels of any McLaren road car to date, the W1 will etch its legacy in automotive history, and we’re eager for its arrival at McLaren Newport Beach.
