October 28th is designated as National First Responders Day. The day honors the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, EMTs, and 911 operators who answer the call when a crisis arises, often putting their own lives on the line. Serving as a national day of gratitude, National First Responders Day pays tribute to their services to their communities and honors fallen first responders. Please join us in supporting those who support our communities every day. Thank you to all first responders for everything you do.

Homer Hops Brewing hosted the first annual First Responder Appreciation Day event, with proceeds benefiting Believe 31. Believe 31 assists, through emotional and financial support, Firefighters and Auxiliary members battling Cancer and other life-threatening illnesses throughout Onondaga, Cortland, Oswego, and Madison Counties. ESIP by McNeil & Co. along with Bailey Place Insurance and Guthrie Cortland Medical Center helped to sponsor this great event. Music was preformed by The Unknown Woodsman. We would like to thank everyone for spending a chilly but beautiful and successful day with us at Homer Hops.

Earlier this month, we welcomed 30 producers from 21 agencies across 11 states to our home offices in Cortland, NY for our Fall 2024 Producer Training event. The two-day training offered insight into our suite of programs and what differentiates McNeil from the rest of the industry.

Last Friday, the University of Colorado Denver Business School Risk Management and Insurance Program partnered with several industry partners on hosting students for #RMIShadowDay. Thank you to Debbie McFarlane and her team at McNeil & Co. for hosting students again! They learned about your various programs, your company culture, and your amazing management style! These experiential learning opportunities are so valuable. Thank you for being a wonderful partner!

We have partnered with BELIEVE 31 INC, Bailey Place Insurance, and Homer Hops Brewing for the 1st Annual First Responder Day Appreciation Day on October 26th! The event will bring emergency responders, families, co-workers and supporters together for an afternoon of networking, food, raffles and music by The Unknown Woodsmen. This event is open to everyone and there is no a charge to attend! The intent of the event is to bring everyone together for an afternoon of fun and raising funds for Believe 31 as we support our brothers / sisters who are battling cancer or other life threatening illness.
