Key Responsibilities: Accounting Assisting accounting staff in costing deals Assisting accounting staff in preparing daily reports Reconciliation reports Assisting accounting staff in the month-end close process Cutting a small volume of checks for local / immediate needs (most Payables will be processes remotely in Pell City, but every now and then a check must be cut on the spot) Going to the Post office daily to drop mail and check P.O. box HR Gathering the payroll data from the sales, service and parts departments in order to calculate pay Submitting draft payroll to HR / Accounting for approvals Inputting pay into Reynolds and Reynolds Distributing pay stubs to employees Completing the onboarding process for new hires (paperwork, log-ins, apparel, biz cards, etc) Completing the termination process for outgoing employees Assisting employees with requests to change benefits or withholdings (insurance / 401k) Assisting employees with company apparel orders Planning monthly company lunches or miscellaneous employee functions
