The Muscular Dystrophy Family Foundation (MDFF) provides financial assistance, adaptive equipment and quality events to the MD community in Indiana. Focusing on enhancing mobility and independence, MDFF works toward providing resources and solutions for those with MD to live their day-to-day life safely and comfortably. MDFF also works to provide and promote advocacy and education to MD families as well as the community.

It's a free event at Broad Ripple Park from Noon to 4pm. Attitude Fest, hosted by Glenn Bill's University of Attitude, is poised to be a transformative half-day event, dedicated to inspiring and fostering positive change locally and globally. The day is centered on celebrating and sharing the incredible power of creating, embracing and finding positive attitude. Mark your calendars for this half-day extravaganza on Global Attitude Awareness Day. It's a day dedicated to personal growth, inspiration, and making a real difference in our community and the world. At MDFF we love to share about other organizations and their resources. Here is a scholarship opportunity from the EveryLife Foundation. The #RAREis Scholarship Fund was established in 2020 to help adults of all ages with rare diseases to pursue their dreams through education. Thanks to the support of Amgen (who acquired Horizon Therapeutics), the #RAREis Scholarship Fund will award up to 88 $5,000 scholarships for the Fall 2024 semester. This scholarship application is open now through April 22, 2024 at https://buff.ly/3tRTdec The #RAREis Scholarship is available to applicants who are: • Ages 17 or older • Residents of the United States • Diagnosed by a physician as having any form of rare disease regardless of treatment status. Undiagnosed patients are also encouraged to apply. • Must be planning to enroll full-time or part-time in undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical/trade school for the Fall 2024 semester. There is no minimum amount of credit hours to be part-time. • Scholarship awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
