About us

Addressing the who, what, where, and how of sustainability in Media Tech. Sustainability is not a ‘fit and forget’ add on – it needs to be embraced in practically every corner of the industry across technology, production, delivery, supply chains, buildings and infrastructure, energy sources, and travel. Critically, to drive the necessary change and commitment, it is essential that there is an understanding of sustainability by everyone working in the industry. The Media Tech Sustainability Series is conceived to address this understanding; from there, positive change will flow.

“In terms of our approach to sustainability, I think there are two things that are critically important when you're putting together a sustainability program. One is that it has to really be authentic and true to who you are as a company. In other words, you don't want to look at it like a coat of green paint that you're putting on top of your company; it has to be deeply embedded in everything you do. The second principle is you don't have to invent everything yourselves because there's a substantial body of thought out there now on sustainability and how it should work. So we very much stand on the shoulders of giants by using these international frameworks, like the Science-Based Target Initiatives and the UN Global Compact. We've essentially designed our sustainability program by taking the most relevant things from all those programs for us and putting in place, a set of measures.” - Doug Lowther, the CEO of Irdeto. We hope you had a chance to attend the CEO Panel on the ethical and business role of sustainability for a wealth of constructive insights. With that, we are continuing the third day of our IBC journey, so come say hi, and don’t forget to join us for Happy Hour at 4 pm! #Irdeto #VideoEntertainment #Sustainability #EnvironmentalImpact #CorporateResponsibility #IBC2024

Interesting insights from the Media Tech Sustainability Series panel this morning, where Serge Van Herck was part of the CEO lineup to discuss why sustainability is not only an ethical choice but also a smart business strategy. The panel touched on topics that are key parts of the sustainability conversation for businesses, including supply chains, profitability, data, company culture, and the role of regulations and policies. Serge highlighted EVS’s commitment to a transversal and transparent approach, with sustainability promoted across all levels of the organization. For EVS, striving to make a positive change is a priority, and the focus is on all ESG pillars, not just the E, but also the S and the G. Our latest sustainability report, which is aligned with CSRD regulations and includes a comprehensive double materiality assessment is available here: https://lnkd.in/eP4rWpKp Thank you to MTSS for bringing this panel together and to Lisa Collins for moderating the session! #EVSforLive #MTSS #IBC2024 #sustainability #ESG
